Multiply – Level 1 in Maths

Course Information

Our Level 1 in Maths course is open to all those that want to improve their numeracy skills. These courses are for learners working at below Level 2 in maths and are an ideal course for those who seek to improve on one or more skills in maths, with essential topics being covered.

You will focus on the core mathematical skills needed to enable you to progress towards a qualification at an appropriate level. This course will help you build on your practical maths skills to get the most out of work and everyday life. You will work on improving your skills and confidence in using numbers in everyday life and progress into gaining an accredited qualification.

Our experienced tutors have expertise in aligning theoretical concepts and practice. The skills, knowledge and behaviours taught on these programmes will provide you with the essential maths skills that could lead to excellent job opportunities

Entry requirements

You will need to be in employment and at least working at Entry Level 3 in maths, as well as having a good understanding of English. You will be required to complete an initial assessment so that we can assess the level at which you are working, so as to support you as best possible whilst you on the course.

Multiply – Managing Your Money

Course information

Managing your personal finances and making decisions about money is an important part of everyday life. This course is designed to help you understand and make the most of your personal finances, including the different financial products and services available, borrowing money and saving money, with practical guidance and advice. With real incomes falling and personal debt at a record high, it’s vital to improve your personal finance skills. This Managing Your Money course starts by giving you guidance on compiling a budget and using it to make good decisions about your spending.

You will explore information about debts and investments, comparison websites and how credit cards and loans are used to finance ownership. The critical issue of debt management is explained, with guidance on the different products.

The course also examines different types of insurance. It offers practical advice on how to make rational decisions about purchases.

By the end of the course, you‘ll be able to understand how to undertake financial planning, including drawing up a budget and a household balance sheet, compare and understand loans and other debt products as well as be able to explain core categories of personal investment and the returns they provide. You will able to summarise insurance products and how they are priced.

Entry requirements

There are no formal qualifications or experience required to enrol on this course. You must be in employment and willing to study and enhance your skills for the better.

This course aims to help individuals who are having a difficult time budgeting to successfully control their money and limit spending on unnecessary items. In this course, you will learn how to set goals, create your own budget effectively, overcome debts and overspending, and also acquire strategies that will help in making long-term budgeting effective and successful.

Essential Digital Skills at Entry 3 and Level 1

Course information

This course is designed to build learners confidence in digital skills and provide a solid foundation from where learners can develop their IT knowledge. Students will have the opportunity to learn how to prepare for work in the digital world and look at how emerging new technologies impact on individuals, teams, workplaces, and people’s finances.

All the skills, knowledge and behaviours taught on this programme will provide you with life skills and prepare you for employment, with the flexibility and resilience for a successful career.

The tutors have years of experience, and they bring together theory and practice, so that you can develop high-level skills and knowledge.

Entry requirements

These courses are great for both younger and older learners. They are open to anyone aged 19+ and the only formal requirement is that prospective students will need to be at Entry Level 2 before joining the course.

Functional Skills in Maths at Level 1 and 2

Our Functional Skills in maths courses are open to anyone who is seeking to improve their numerical skills. These courses are for learners working at below level 2 in maths. It is an ideal course for those who need to improve on one or more skills in numeracy and maths, with essential topics being covered.

ESOL/English Level 1

Course information

Our English/ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses are great for learners of all ages. Available to anyone aged 19+ who is looking to improve their English language skills. Our courses support students in developing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

As well as improving your English language skills, you are also able to practice key skills required by employers to be successful at work e.g., writing notes and filling in forms, making phone calls and speaking to other people, reading texts, following instructions, and listening for information.

Our experienced tutors have expertise in aligning theory and practice. The skills and knowledge taught on these programmes will provide you with the essential Literacy skills needed to achieve at work, progress onto a vocational course and be prepared for further learning or indeed, gain employment

Entry requirements

Our online courses are open to anyone aged 19+ and all prospective students will be expected to attend an online placement interview and undertake an ESOL initial assessment, before being placed on an appropriate course.

Where can I progress to next?

On successful completion of this course, depending on your starting level you will be able to progress onto a higher-level English course, a vocational programme or employment.
