Essential Digital Skills at Entry 3 and Level 1
Course information
This course is designed to build learners confidence in digital skills and provide a solid foundation from where learners can develop their IT knowledge. Students will have the opportunity to learn how to prepare for work in the digital world and look at how emerging new technologies impact on individuals, teams, workplaces, and people’s finances.
All the skills, knowledge and behaviours taught on this programme will provide you with life skills and prepare you for employment, with the flexibility and resilience for a successful career.
The tutors have years of experience, and they bring together theory and practice, so that you can develop high-level skills and knowledge.
Entry requirements
These courses are great for both younger and older learners. They are open to anyone aged 19+ and the only formal requirement is that prospective students will need to be at Entry Level 2 before joining the course.

Taught hours
There will be a total of 50 guided learning hours (GLH) for this course.
Where can I progress to next?
You may wish to further your Digital skills and consider progressing onto a higher-level Digital Skills course and progress onto a vocational course. If in employment the course will enhance your Digital Skills and overall skills set helping you achieve more. If not in employment this programme will improve your chances of achieving sustained work.
Functional Skills in Maths at Level 1 and 2
Course information
Our Functional Skills in maths courses are open to anyone who is seeking to improve their numerical skills. These courses are for learners working at below level 2 in maths. It is an ideal course for those who need to improve on one or more skills in numeracy and maths, with essential topics being covered.
You will focus on the core mathematical skills needed to enable you to progress towards a qualification at an appropriate level. This course will help you build on your practical maths skills to get the most out of work and everyday life. You will work on improving your skills and confidence in using numbers in everyday life and work towards gaining a Functional Skills qualification in maths.
Our experienced tutors have expertise in aligning theoretical concepts and practice. The skills, knowledge and behaviours taught on these programmes will provide you with the essential Functional Skills, leading to excellent job opportunities
Entry requirements
You will need to be at least working towards Entry Level 3 in maths and have a good understanding of English. You will be required to complete an initial assessment so that we can assess the Functional Skill course you need to be placed on.

ESOL/English Level 1
Course information
Our English/ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses are great for learners of all ages. Available to anyone aged 19+ who is looking to improve their English language skills. Our courses support students in developing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
As well as improving your English language skills, you are also able to practice key skills required by employers to be successful at work e.g., writing notes and filling in forms, making phone calls and speaking to other people, reading texts, following instructions, and listening for information.
Our experienced tutors have expertise in aligning theory and practice. The skills and knowledge taught on these programmes will provide you with the essential Literacy skills needed to achieve at work, progress onto a vocational course and be prepared for further learning or indeed, gain employment
Entry requirements
Our online courses are open to anyone aged 19+ and all prospective students will be expected to attend an online placement interview and undertake an ESOL initial assessment, before being placed on an appropriate course.
